We are an independent British manufacturing and engineering company that have been established for 27 years.

Founded in 1982 to manufacture specialist accessories for the garden machinery sector, this was followed in 1991 by the development and production of the first Countax garden tractor. By 1992 we were firmly established as market leader in the United Kingdom for the garden tractor industry, a position we still maintain today.

In the intervening years the Countax garden tractor brand has grown dramatically to hold a greater than 30% share of the British market, whilst manufacturing and exporting to Europe, and as far away as Australia and New Zealand. The company has won numerous awards for innovative manufacturing and design achievements for our garden tractor products.

Most of our product components are manufactured at the Oxfordshire factory, which is a state of the art 100,000 square feet manufacturing plant. This also gives us the edge for making our spares economical and available on a ‘next day’ delivery.

In 2006 Countax Automated Storage Systems was created in order to provide space saving solutions for a wide range of businesses. The main product focus being our automated units called Countax Cargo VLMs. The Countax Cargo VLMs (Vertical Lift Modules) were born out of an idea that we recognised from our own storage needs. As a business we decided to design, engineer and develop these units for our own use. The idea to produce the VLMs commercially was a natural development and Countax Automated Systems was launched as a brand in itself.

Today, Countax Ltd is a company that comprises numerous brands and functions, showing our versatile and forward thinking approach to business.
